Garden of Eden | DR. FRU COMMUNES WITH THE DISABLED AND NEEDY

About 50 disabled and underprivileged persons in Buea started the 2012 year on a note of joy and hope thanks to H.Hr.Dr.Fru, renowned tradi-practitioner and humanist. The head of the Garden of Eden International Healing and Research Foundation dished out food stuff, dresses and shoes to the underprivileged persons.

Handing over 20 bags of spaghetti, 33 bags of rice and assorted clothes and shoes, to the beneficiaries, Dr. Fru said the Garden of Eden International Healing and Research Foundation does not only heal God’s people. “We also share the little we have with those who need it most”. Sharing with the people does not mean he has a lot.

“The more you share with others, the more your blessings from God increases”, he said. He prayed God to pour his grace on the beneficiaries as they begin the year 2012. Dr.Fru who shared the gifts under the canopy of “Father New Year” expressed his wish to see all of them see the end of the year. The beneficiaries included the blind, the lame, the crippled and the Old.

Most of them could not conceal their excitement as they expressed their gratitude to H.Hr.Dr.Fru telling him not to relent as God will always bless him. They cried out that if others could act like Dr.Fru then the Old and less privileged would not still be desperate. That was during the first part of the occasion which took place between 11: am and 1: pm.

The evening session began with the arrival of invited guests at 5:30 pm. Celebration proper started at about 8: pm with an opening prayer followed by a word from Dr.Nde and a welcome speech from H.Hr.Dr.Fru. Entertainment and refreshment followed. There was enough to eat and drink. In the midst of the refreshment the floor was officially opened for dancing to start. By about 1: pm there was the popping of the 2012 champagne. This was greeted by a great shout of joy for seeing the New Year 2012. Celebration continued till dawn.

Reacting earlier to Dr.Fru’s gesture, a cross section of the beneficiaries expressed gratitude to H.Hr.Dr.Fru and prayed God to bless him relentlessly. These beneficiaries included Patrick Nsuh, President of the Buea Association of Visually Impaired persons, and Peter Ngong, a post-graduate and visually impaired student of the Department of Sociology and Anthropology University of Buea and Stella Atuh.

It has become the tradition for H.Hr.Dr.Fru, Chief Executive Officer, CEO of the Foundation to celebrate the end of the year and the beginning of the New Year. The celebration always takes place in the premises of the Foundation, with people of all walks of life invited. By celebrating the end of 2011 and the beginning of 2012, H.Hr.Dr.Fru was simply respecting tradition.
